Fond Memories
I was at werk when i received the news. The phonecall made my heart sank.
Finally, God is taking her away.
At a ripe age of 89, she lived her life to the fullest.
My granny left the world yesterday at 10am.
After being sick and bedridden for almost 2 years, she finally heard her call.
Im sure she's willing to go as well. She noes she'll meet all the wonderful people up there.
My daddy, all her children tat passed away and also her husband.
She had not remarried since her husband passed on.
She is indeed a strong and wonderful human being.
Despite being sick, when we visited her the very last time, she was on the bed trying to make us laugh with all the silly jokes. She never failed to creat smiles on everyones' face even on the last days of her life.
Wat breaks my heart the most, is when she kept talking abt my late dad. she would say how much she missed him, how she missed him coming over to her place with food and how my daddy would always kiss her before he leaves her house.
N now, her misery is over.
Im sure daddy is waiting for his mum up there.
They are all reunited once again. A complete family, up there. *smiles*
Yesterday when i watched how she was nicely and neatly bundled up before burial, i realise, how short life is.
And wat do u bring with you when you die???
Nothin.
Juz cotton all around you, bundled with white clean cloth and scented aroma all over ur dead body.
Tats it.
But most importantly, is the prayers tat was chanted by the people all aorund you.
Tat prayers is the only things tat could help lead your soul away peacefully.
N yesterday, i chanted my never evending AL-Fathehah for her.
Cos i noe, tats the onli thing tat she needed now to start her journey to a brand new world.

Nenek, may u live happily there in a whole new world, with your husband, kids and my daddy. You will always be remembered. Now, always & forever.
Amin.
P.S : My company issued me a 3 day Compasionate Leave and a $100 cheque for their condolences. I noe you guys at werk will be reading this. Thank you for the well wishes. Im fine and at home now. I'll come back tomorrow and have lunch with you guys again, aite?
